To answer some frequently asked questions regarding my prompt contests:
Who can enter? Absolutely anyone!
How do I determine the winner? It has nothing to do with level of skill. I pick stories that stay with me. Writing that is unique and moves me emotionally. Memorable characters. A story premise that makes me sit up and go, "WOW" and characters that I can't stop thinking about days later. That's what I look for MOST OF ALL in a winner. A story that stands out.
On a side note, I had hoped to be able to start offering feedback to all monthly entrants, no matter the placement of their story. But alas...the wreck happened and then surgery and then I got two new book deadlines and then one of my children was bit by a poisonous spider (Brown Recluse) and a gazillion things in between and well, you get the picture. It may be a few months before I can do the story prompt critiques. LOL!
Hope this helps!
Thank you all for supporting my blog with your readership despite my infrequent posts as of late.
Things'll get back on track soon. Promise! :-)

Hey Cheryl. You mean you have a 'Frequently Asked Question' list? Neat!
Thank you for the post...I had wondered how you picked but didn't spend much time thinking about it.
Now that you brought it up though, I do have a question:
Why don't you announce the winners each month?
I ask because last year, a cyber-friend of mine (Hope C) won the yearly prize and I keep wondering if she's entered and if she won. I have other cyber-friends who are attempting the Prompt as well.
Praying for you and your family. Were you able to get a new vehicle?
Anita and all,
I've answered Anita privately but I'll post an answer here as well to Anita's question regarding posting winners names. I do post them when I receive permission from the entrant.
Some of you are too shy to be acknowledged quite yet...you know who you are. LOL!
Cheryl
