HAPPY NEW YEAR & First Story Starter aka Scene Prompt

Here is the first story starter of the new year.

Remember, I'm not hosting a contest on these prompts this year. So no need to send me your scenes. This is simply me kick starting your creativity.

Look for these prompts, posted weekly.

Notice I've expanded the scene length for those of you who write full-length fiction.



Story Starter Prompt 1
OBJECT:
• Write a 500-3500 word scene using five of fifteen Prompt Words.
• Begin each scene using one of three Scene Starter Sentences.
• Use any combination of (1) sentence/(5) words.
• Do three separate scenes with each prompt sentence if you want.
• Most of all, have fun!

Prompt Words-1:

2. complement
3. coarse
4. course
5. its
6. it’s
7. rein
8. reign
9. rain
10. roof
11. compliant
12. complaint
13. hair
14. heir
15. hare

Scene Starter Sentences-1:
“He fell off the what?”
“Wait, something just crashed.”
“Did you hear that?”

I missed the December one. I started it, but didn't have time to really focus on it. I'll try for this one!
