March Prompt Contest

Squirrel's Story Starter for March:
 
As always, write a 500 word scene using one of the Scene Starter Sentences. Incorporate at least 5 of the 10 Prompt Words below. You may use any variation of the prompt word. In this prompt, I'm going to be looking for tone. So strive to use your writing to set the tone of the story. Whether it be dark, light-hearted, cozy, mysterious, comical, romantic, funny, soul-stirring, etc.
